East Africa defence ministers call on President Michel
Ministers of Defence from East Africa whose countries form part of the East Africa Standby Force (EASF), yesterday afternoon paid a courtesy call on President James Michel at State House.
The ministers were in Seychelles to take part in the 12th extraordinary session of the Eastern Africa Committee of Defence and Security (EACDS) being held here this week.
This followed an EASF experts meeting which was held on Monday and Tuesday at the Savoy Hotel.
Accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean-Paul Adam, the ministers briefed President Michel on the discussions held this week related to security, peace and stability in the region and also on details of the new regional standby force expected to be deployed in December.
