As they are made up of either fresh blood or experienced hands with new portfolios, we can only expect the best from them, but after appointing the ministers Mr Michel said: “The whole will only ever be as strong as the sum of its parts.”

While they are expected to do their best, we who serve under them must do likewise for our products and services to meet public expectations, remembering our extended role of enabling the government to play its new role as a helper to the private sector.

As the sector is increasingly enabled to play its part as the engine of development, Seychelles should soon move upwards from its established firm foundation to reach new heights in the near future.

Teamwork is the key word, as Mr Michel said when he named the new cabinet and spoke of the great transformation his government is set to lead us into.

We must respond as ways carry on opening up for every Seychellois to take part in government and strengthen the teams being set up, for we must work Together, Ready for the Future.
