3D film on Aldabra makes impressive debut in Czech cinemas
Over the last several months I have often spoken about my association with some friends in the Czech Republic who were working on the production of a 3D film on Aldabra. Unfortunately, in view of international commitments I was not able to attend the Premiere Show of this film which was released in the Czech Republic last week. I would like to share with the people of Seychelles some comments which I have received this morning from Michael Havas, film director and screen writer par excellence:
“In its first week in Czech cinemas Aldabra ended up in 3rd spot with 17,388 paying viewers and was beaten only by James Bond (Spectre) and Hunger Games. As a matter of fact it was the first among 3 Czech produced films in the top 20 films currently playing in the Czech Republic. This is certainly an outstanding result. I will keep you posted on developments over the next couple of weeks. One could only say that only James Bond’s Aston Martin has outpaced our crabs and tortoises!”
This is indeed great news for Seychelles as the 3D film on Aldabra will put a lot of focus on the Republic of Seychelles. I thought I should share this news with our people although I am now very much engaged in Manila with the Gusi Peace Prize.
