Our islands are ‘dream’ destination for British - 07.08.2010
The study was conducted by www.sunshine.co.uk and involved 1,826 people.
It came out that a three-week vacation with a private villa in a destination with an average temperature of 28 degrees would be the ideal “dream holiday” for most British holidaymakers.
And Seychelles was the most popular choice, with one in five of those polled saying they wanted to visit the islands.
The poll also aimed to find out how much spending money Brits would have on their dream holiday and 81% said £1,000 a week would be the perfect amount.
Almost all, 98%, of the people who took part in the poll said their dream holiday would be on an all-inclusive basis but despite this, 76% would also like to eat out every evening.
Chris Brown, co-founder of www.sunshine.co.uk, said of the findings: “We’re all about giving our customers a memorable holiday, so we were eager to find out what exactly a dream vacation was to most people.
“I was surprised that three weeks was considered a perfect holiday for the majority, as I really thought it would be longer.
“When we looked more into it, however, we found that 41% thought they would miss home by the fourth week. It’s really interesting to break it down like this and see all the factors that make up a ‘perfect’ holiday for the majority.”
