President in talks with Chinese Vice-Premier today - 24.03.2011
Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Qishan is due to meet President James Michel today during his official visit to Seychelles.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy of the People’s Republic of China said in a press release yesterday that Mr Michel and Mr Wang will have talks on bilateral cooperation.
This will be followed by the signing of two agreements by Foreign Minister Jean-Paul Adam and Chinese Vice-Minister of Commerce Fu Ziying.
The visit is seen as further testimony to the special relationship between China and Seychelles and comes during the 35th year since the two countries opened diplomatic relations.
The Chinese delegation were expected in Seychelles yesterday evening.
