Prince Alwaleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia called on President James Michel at State House yesterday evening.
The two held talks in the presence of Minister for National Development Jacquelin Dugasse and Nouvobanq managing director Ahmed Saeed.
The Prince later talked about investing in Seychelles’ tourism industry.
“We are heavily involved in the hospitality industry and Seychelles depends a lot on tourism. We are managing the Four Seasons, which I’ll be visiting shortly,” Prince Alwaleed told the Seychelles media and scores of reporters who accompanied his large delegation.
He also talked about the Raffles hotel on Praslin, which will be inaugurated towards the end of next year, saying it will add value to our economic and tourism development.
Prince Alwaleed said he held talks on further investment in tourism on both Mahe and Praslin, and told President Michel he is looking forward to having more projects in the tourism industry in Seychelles, which he said is a beautiful country.
Prince Alwaleed and his delegation arrived from Mauritius and left the country for home after a few hours.
