Seychelles gets R102m grant from China

The People’s Republic of China has granted R102 million (50 million Chinese Yuan) to Seychelles to implement projects to be mutually agreed by the two governments.

This is through an agreement on economic and technical cooperation signed on Saturday between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by Ambassador Vivianne Fock-Tave, Seychelles’ resident ambassador in Beijing, and Zhou Liujun, vice-director of the Agency of International Development and Cooperation.

The signing was witnessed by President Danny Faure and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
