Seychellois citizens will soon be able to travel to the Russian Federation visa free, it was announced yesterday.

The new visa waiver agreement will come into force on December 14, 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Transport said yesterday in a press release.

This follows the signing of the document at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Transport between the Republic of Seychelles and the Russian Federation.

The press release adds that this is further testimony to the excellent relationship shared between Russia and Seychelles which will not only spur greater cultural and economic ties but will allow for greater people to people exchanges.

This visa waiver programme also highlights the spirit of reciprocity and mutual respect between the two countries.
