STB launches free digital guide for ipads and tablets
The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has launched a useful free digital guide which provides information about our islands, events, maps, activities, contacts among others.
The Islands E-Travel Guide has officially been launched after the E-Marketing section at the STB has announced its completion of 10.1 and seven inch version.
Users will be able to find further information on the main island, inner islands, and the events that take place regularly in Seychelles.
They will also be provided with useful information for fishing, snorkeling, spas, weddings and much more.
The guide has certain new features such as 360 degree virtual tours of beaches on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue and an interactive map which allows users to interact with it by tagging themselves on it or by choosing between a digital map or a satellite version of it.
STB’s E-Marketing representative Vahid Jacob said the development of a Seychelles Islands Smart Phone application for Iphone and Android Smartphones will be contracted out and it should be ready in five to six months.
“The application will have all the hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, car hires, nightclubs, and major shops listed with a description, photo, address, price and contact details. In addition the application will also have a personalised trip itinerary, an interactive map and navigation options,” he added.
The E-Guide has been developed for ipads and tablets and can be downloaded for free from the Google play store for android tablets and from the itunes store for ipads.
